The Simcoe County District School Board (SCDSB) offers French Immersion (FI) at select schools throughout the county. Intake into FI begins in Grade 1. This optional program is designed to develop students' abilities to communicate in French with a high level of proficiency, enabling them to function with ease in both English and French.
Students from our school who enroll in FI will attend Mundy's Bay for Grades 1 - 4 and Huron Park for Grades 5 - 8.
An information session about the FI program for families of students in Year 2 Kindergarten will take place at Mundy's Bay Public School 340 Sixth Street, Midland, ON on Tuesday, November 26th at 6:00pm
At this information session, you will learn more about:
- the program content and instruction
- the application process
- transportation for students
Parents/guardians will also have an opportunity to ask questions about the program.
If you are unable to attend the information session, you're welcome to attend another session held at a different school. Please note that information specific for Mundy's Bay may not be available at a different session. The dates and times for all FI Family Information Nights are available at www.scdsb.on.ca under Elementary, French as a Second Language.
